We are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant to join our catering team. The successful candidate will perform a variety of cooking duties including food preparation, cleaning the kitchen, plating dishes and maintaining supplies.

The successful candidate will be required to provide two satisfactory references, undertake pre-employment checks including a health check and have a cleared Enhanced Disclosure & Barring check.
The successful candidate will actively participate in the daily operation of the kitchen under the direction of the Chef in preparing and cooking up to 400 nutritious hot meals for students. They will be responsible for supporting the operation and assisting with the delivery of all food services.
Working alongside the Chef and other kitchen assistants you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring compliance of catering-related school policies and procedures, Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
Awareness of dietary requirements of the children, including those with diagnosed allergies will need to be catered for.
Previous experience within Schools is desirable but not essential.
In order to carry out this role you will need to enjoy working for a school with pupils who have special educational needs, be reliable and trustworthy, keep calm and able to work under pressure.
You will enjoy working as part of a team and have an enthusiastic approach to your daily tasks.
Flexibility and a commitment to training is expected.
