The Vale Federation is seeking to appoint an IT Technician to assist with the efficient operation of the school’s IT services. The successful candidate will be joining at a very exciting time, with new systems currently being implemented and a broad IT Development Strategy across the Federation, there is much to be actively involved in.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible, enthusiastic and enjoy working in a school environment. This is a busy post and will require someone who is well organised and able to work under pressure and to agreed deadlines.
Leading the first line IT across the Federation encompassing over 250 staff, you will offer support and assistance to all users, including hardware and software, which will require you to be an excellent communicator at all levels.
The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of delivering a high standard service across all 3 of our campuses, be able to work independently as well as be a good team player and be proactive in ensuring our IT Services to both staff and pupils is of the highest levels at all times.

The Vale Federation is a federation of schools in Aylesbury incorporating Booker Park Primary Special School and Stocklake Park Secondary Special School, across three campuses. Booker Park School currently educates 225 pupils and Stocklake Park School 85 pupils, including a sixth form.

The successful candidate will be delivering a prompt service to IT requests from Vale Federation staff members. Answering and logging calls, emails and IT tickets. Carry out operational duties on a daily basis, including server backup, system checks and security. Adhere to The Vale Federation IT policy. The successful candidate is required to have excellent working knowledge of IT Systems and processes in order to support the staff/students of the school. Experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage.
You will need to have a logical thought process, have an ability to demonstrate a high level of organisational skill and have good communication skills.
