Teaching Assistant – Booker Park School


We are seeking to appoint teaching assistants who are enthusiastic and caring and looking for a varied and rewarding role. Working with all the young people in our care you will work as part of a team to provide the support enabling them to achieve the greatest possible level of independence and inclusion.

Part of the Vale Federation of Schools, Booker Park School is large primary special school of 228 pupils which caters for children with a broad diversity of complex needs including Profound and Multiple, Severe and Moderate Learning Difficulties. The role

Working under the instruction/guidance of teaching and senior class staff this rewarding and sometimes challenging role will include supporting pupils to access and engage with teacher led curriculum/learning activities, encouraging them to interact with others and helping to promote their self-esteem.  You will assist with the implementation of individual education and behaviour plans and personal care which may include attending to hygiene needs and administering medication. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area. Comprehensive training is provided as appropriate to the role and continued professional development of our staff is encouraged.
