Booker Park Election and Picnic

  |   Booker Park

All the children at Booker Park celebrated the school’s tenth birthday at our annual summer picnic on Thursday 8th June, and as the date was also the general election, we held a vote of our own.  Each pupil cast their vote to democratically decide a ‘wow’ activity to take place, to be funded by Nigel Westacott’s epic cycle challenge.  Children cast their vote for one of the following outings

  • A day trip to the beach
  • A trip to Gullivers Land
  • A visit to Beale Park

After the voting, everyone enjoyed a variety of activities including face painting by Louise Maloney from The Party Poppers, a disco from Dan Blaze, balloon modelling by Paul Biz, various games plus a visit from a fire engine and police vehicle.

The children had a wonderful day, and even though the weather wasn’t kind no-one’s spirits were dampened!
