Back To The Stone Age
Children in Swan Class travelled back to the Stone Age at Chiltern Open Air Museum. They learnt what was needed to survive and practised hunting and gathering skills.
Using a bow and arrow they caught a deer and with a spear they caught a boar. They gathered lily roots. The children built a shelter out of animal skins, learnt about camouflage, Stone Age jewellery and they also all learnt how to make a fire. Most of the children would have happily stayed in the Stone Age and were none-to-pleased about having to travel back to 2019 to get the bus back to school!
